1. Operator identification
Viamar, maritime operator providing crossings between Peniche and Berlenga Island, based at Cais da Ribeira, 2520 Peniche, Portugal. Contacts: +351 911 001 099, info@viamar-berlenga.com. VAT number: [to confirm with client].
2. Scope
These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase of tickets and the provision of maritime passenger transport services by Viamar through the website viamar-berlenga.com and the booking partner FareHarbor.
3. Bookings and payment
Bookings are made online and confirmed after full payment. The passenger receives a digital ticket with a QR code by email, which must be presented at boarding. The prices shown include VAT at the legal rate in force.
4. Cancellation and rescheduling
The passenger may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure time, with full refund. Cancellations after that deadline are not refundable, except when Viamar cancels the crossing for safety or weather reasons, in which case rescheduling or full refund will be offered.
5. Boarding conditions
Boarding closes 5 minutes before departure. We recommend arriving 20 minutes early. Children under 3 travel free of charge, accompanied by a responsible adult. Viamar reserves the right to refuse boarding to passengers in a condition that may compromise their own safety or that of other passengers.
6. Liability
Viamar holds civil liability and passenger insurance as required by applicable law. Crossings may be cancelled or changed for safety reasons, on instruction of the National Maritime Authority, or due to adverse weather conditions.
7. Complaints
The passenger may file complaints by email at info@viamar-berlenga.com or via the Portuguese Electronic Complaints Book at www.livroreclamacoes.pt. Disputes may be submitted to the territorially competent Consumer Arbitration Centre.
8. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law. The competent court for any disputes is the Judicial Court of Peniche, with express waiver of any other.
